COVID-19 Rental Relief

Teach Earth Action is working with Alameda County and other nonprofits to help tenants apply for COVID-19 Rental Relief. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) will help renters pay past due rent, pay future rent, and get caught up on utility bills with financial assistance. The Program prioritizes tenants who are at risk of homelessness or housing instability due to COVID-19 or other economic hardships.

Who Can Apply:

  • Tenants in Alameda County, excluding Oakland and Fremont

  • Renters with household incomes not more than 80% AMI

  • Renter qualifies for unemployment benefits or experienced a reduction in household income, incurred significant costs, or experienced other financial hardship due to COVID–19

  • Renter demonstrates a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability
